Attract Success, Health, Love and Wisdom at Home

← All sources

Your home can actively support what you are working towards, and the arrangement that does it is personal to you rather than general. The organising claim here is quantitative. Your environment is held to account for roughly one third of what you attract, sitting alongside your destiny and your own mindset and effort. Many people recognise the frustration of doing genuine inner work while results still arrive slowly. The remaining third sits in the rooms themselves. What makes this approach different from general room advice is that it works from a number derived from your birth date, which assigns you four compass directions of your own.

Set Up Each Room So It Works in Your Favour

  • Find the four compass directions that belong to you personally, from your birth date and sex
  • Read what already sits in each direction, and what it repeats to you every day
  • Judge an object by what it depicts, then move it to the direction where it belongs
  • Sit and sleep so you see the door, which is where opportunity and people arrive
  • Clear space first, since energy moves once the room is opened up
  • Match colours and objects to each direction, from the bedroom to the office

Find the Four Directions That Belong to You

The personalising step is a Personal Energy Number (a single digit worked out from your date of birth and your sex). It stays the same for life. That number assigns you four compass directions, one each for success and money, for health, for relationships, and for wisdom and spiritual growth. Two people in the same house often hold different numbers, which is why a single arrangement cannot suit everyone in it.

Two details catch people out. The energy year begins at Chinese New Year (the lunar new year, falling in late January or February). Anyone born in January or early February therefore belongs to the previous year's row. Sex also changes the result, so a man and a woman born in the same year hold different numbers. One number works differently from the rest. Number five carries no directions of its own, and men holding it use number two while women use number eight.

There is a second layer underneath the personal one. Every compass direction carries a fixed meaning that applies to everybody, so the north governs career, the south governs recognition, and the south-west governs partnership and motherhood. Reading your personal layer against that general one produces guidance neither gives alone. Where both point at the same corner, the effect doubles in whichever direction it runs.

Read What Each Direction Is Already Saying

The work starts as a survey, not a purchase. You stand in the centre of a room and take a compass reading. You mark where your four directions fall. Then you look honestly at what occupies each one. The question asked of every object is what it depicts, not whether it is attractive. The subconscious mind is held not to separate an image from the real thing. A picture of a horse beside a bed is met as a horse in the room.

Read that way, ordinary furnishings say something specific and constant. In one household the children would not settle to study. A bin stood in the part of the living room that governs knowledge. The reading was that it told them their work ends up thrown away. The bin went and their own certificates went up there instead. Their willingness to sit down and work changed over the following months.

Empty space carries a message too. A relationship direction holding nothing at all was read as stating there is no relationship energy here, which is a finding rather than a blank. This is why the survey comes before any shopping, and why what you remove usually matters more than what you add.

Move an Object Rather Than Discard It

Very few objects are simply wrong. Most are right somewhere else, which makes relocation the standard remedy and keeps the method from becoming an expensive clear-out. A portrait of Frida Kahlo (the Mexican painter, who worked through long periods of poor health) makes the point precisely. As an image for a success direction she is excellent, because she made her ambitions real and remains internationally known. In a health direction she carries the wrong association, because she suffered a great deal with her health, so the same picture moves rather than leaves.

The same logic runs through smaller decisions. A collection of dinosaurs failed in a child's health corner for being extinct rather than for being frightening. Books count as content, so a thriller supports nothing in a health direction whatever its quality, and titles are worth reading before a shelf is placed. One woman had put books in exactly the right direction for her number, and they were all about surviving her divorce, so the corner pointed at her past rather than her future.

A mirror is genuinely neutral. It carries no value of its own and takes on whatever it reflects, so making the reflection worth doubling is as valid a fix as removing it. Two mirrors facing each other double an image endlessly and say nothing at all about the direction they occupy.

Sit and Sleep Where You Can See the Door

One rule outranks the compass. You want to see the door from where you sit and sleep. Opportunity is held to arrive with the people who come through it, not through the windows. Facing one of your own four directions is an addition on top. Where the two cannot both be met, seeing the door comes first.

Space behind you matters as much as the view in front. Emptiness at your back counts as a defect even when everything ahead is open. A high-backed chair, a solid headboard or an image of a mountain all serve the same purpose. The comparison offered is a throne, where the back is as deliberate as the seat.

The angles are more forgiving than people expect. Your natural connection to a door spans about forty-five degrees either side of your nose. A desk turned slightly off square still works, and often solves a room that looked impossible. One man kept his employer's photograph behind a permanently open door. He was passed over for promotion repeatedly. The reading was that if he could not see his employer, his employer could not see him.

Clear the Space Before You Arrange It

Decluttering comes first, and the image used for it is a river. Energy is described as moving water, so the rocks come out before anyone tries to steer the current. Many people report things shifting from the clearing alone, before a single direction has been activated.

How things leave matters as much as that they go. The instruction is to give things away rather than throw them out, on the reasoning that giving keeps a sense of gratitude running while discarding does not. Only genuinely broken things are binned. Selling works equally well, since money arriving is itself the outcome being sought.

Pace is the other half. Turning a river ninety degrees at once puts the person standing in it into chaos, which is why changes are made gradually rather than in a weekend. Comfort attaches to the familiar rather than to what is good for us, so a rapid rearrangement can feel wrong even when every individual change is right.

Match Colours and Objects to Each Room

Each direction has its own colours, elements and objects, and the practical skill is recognising something you already own that qualifies. Earth tones make a good main scheme through a house because they hold a family in balance, with each room then taking one accent colour on top. Three colours on the major surfaces is the working limit, since more than that leaves people unsettled.

Rooms are treated differently according to what happens in them. Bedrooms take no live plants and no water imagery, so silk or cotton flowers stand in where a real plant would otherwise belong. A bedroom that doubles as an office needs a curtain or screen between the two, because a room asked to be restful and productive at once tends to deliver neither well.

A few placements are singled out as consistently costly. A mirror reflecting a bed doubles whatever state the sleeper arrives in, and the person closest to it takes the effect. Electrical devices belong at least two metres from where you sleep, and the space under a bed stays clear so air moves and the aura field has room. One client's weight gain was traced to a swimming pool. It sat in the part of her garden standing for the mother of the household, and she was the only woman there.

Work With the House You Actually Have

You can get most of the benefit from an ordinary, imperfect house. Activating two of your three main spaces is described as leaving you really fine. Activating one is still better than the arrangement you had. Problems are ranked so the worst gets treated first. A direction you cannot use passes its activation to another one, with the intention spoken aloud so the reassignment is clear.

You work around fixed features rather than fight them. A staircase, bathroom or garage in a good direction is kept clean and fresh. The real activation moves to a room where it can breathe. Renters and travellers get a portable version. It is family photographs, sticky notes and a printed goal, all placed off the floor. Anything at ground level is not seen, so it does not register.

Timing sets expectations honestly. Results are expected between nine days and nine weeks, the nine days derived from energy moving through a home's nine areas. What changes first is thinking rather than circumstance, so new ideas and new approaches tend to arrive before visible events do. A dip shortly after a change is attributed to what was in place beforehand rather than to the change itself.

Go deeper with what matters to you

The source works through each of the nine energy numbers in far more detail than a set of themes can carry. Every number gets its own soul lesson, its suited professions, and its own health, relationship and wisdom practices. It names the exact colours and objects that activate all four directions. It sets out the temple line alignments, the precise degrees involved, and the printable cures for a door, a desk or a bed that sits on one. It also holds the year by year time activations, which move while your personal directions stay fixed.

Perhaps one room in your home has never felt right and you cannot say why. Perhaps you share a space with someone whose directions look nothing like yours, or you are working out whether an object you love belongs where it currently sits. Bring that question to the chat. It will draw the relevant parts of the source together into an answer shaped around your rooms and your number. There is usually more than one workable arrangement, so the useful question is which one suits the house you actually live in.

Where these ideas come from

These ideas come from Feng Shui for Life, an online course published in July 2018. It is taught by Marie Diamond, a Feng Shui master and consultant. She trained under the grandmaster Yap Cheng Hai in the classical Chinese tradition. She developed Diamond Feng Shui (her own version of the practice, adding a personal layer derived from birth data to the general compass system most people know). The course runs over eight weeks and is filmed inside real homes. Each principle is shown applied to an actual room, with the occupant testing the result and saying what changed. Four live question and answer calls address the problems that arise once people start, hosted by Alex, who relays the questions students actually send in. A 128 page handbook carries the per number reference material. It is well worth seeking out directly for anyone who wants the full detail.

What you read here is our own source, an independent work built from those ideas. Every concept has been studied and then rewritten from scratch and reshaped so it can answer your questions alongside other refined sources. Nothing from the reference work has been copied. The knowledge has been transformed, not reproduced, and the reference is named clearly because the ideas deserve proper credit and because it stands on its own merits.
